HAMILTON, ON – The Hamilton Cardinals are excited to announce the signing of infielder Reyny Reyes for the 2026 season. Reyes, a native of San Cristobal, Dominican Republic, began his professional career in 2016 after signing a minor league contract with the Cincinnati Reds organization. He made his professional debut in 2017 with the Dominican Summer League Rojos before coming stateside in 2018 to play rookie ball for the Arizona League Reds. In two seasons at the rookie-level, Reyes slashed .270/.306/.340 across 90 games. Reyes advanced through three levels of Minor League Baseball during the 2021 season, appearing in 32 games at Single-A Daytona, 21 games at High-A Dayton, and two games at Double-A Chattanooga. Most recently, Reyes suited up for Arroceros Béisbol Club during the 2025 season in Liga Nacional de Béisbol de Verano (LNBV), a Dominican professional summer league, where he led the league in Home Runs and batted .323. Reyes brings five seasons of Minor League Baseball experience to Hamilton and is set to make his Canadian Baseball League debut with the Cardinals in 2026.
