Hamilton Cardinals Re-Sign Connor Cory For 2026 Season

HAMILTON, ON – The Hamilton Cardinals are excited to announce the re-signing of right-handed pitcher Connor Cory for the 2026 season. Cory, a 23-year-old native of Wawanesa, Manitoba, is a former member of the Altona Bisons of the Manitoba Junior Baseball League. He was named Junior Player of the Year by Baseball Manitoba in 2022. He spent all four of his collegiate seasons from 2021 to 2024 at Mayville State University in Mayville, North Dakota. The Comets compete at the NAIA level, where Cory made 58 appearances, including 13 starts and one complete game, totaling 161.0 career innings pitched. He was named to the 2022 NSAA First Team All-Conference as a relief pitcher, highlighted by his best season in which he posted a 3.19 ERA across 48.0 innings. Cory now enters his third CBL season, having pitched for the Cardinals in 2024 and 2025. He owns a career 1–1 record and a 4.34 ERA across 33.2 innings pitched, exclusively out of the bullpen.
