HAMILTON, ON – The Hamilton Cardinals are excited to announce the re-signing of left-handed pitcher Chris Boatto for the 2026 season. A native of Maple, Ontario, Boatto played all four of his collegiate seasons at Alderson Broaddus University in West Virginia from 2013–2016. Over his collegiate career, he posted a 19–7 record with a 4.35 ERA across 211.0 innings pitched. In 2016, Boatto helped lead the Battlers to a Great Midwest Athletic Conference championship. Now entering his ninth CBL season and third with the Cardinals, Boatto brings extensive league experience after previously pitching for the London Majors and Welland Jackfish. He owns a career 4.46 ERA over 313.0 innings, primarily working out of the bullpen. Boatto was also a member of the 2023 Dominico Cup champion Jackfish, posting a 3.17 ERA across 5.2 postseason innings. During the 2025 regular-season with Hamilton, Boatto made 12 appearances and one start, along with 2.0 shutout innings in the playoffs.
