Hamilton Cardinals Re-Sign Carlos Dominguez For 2026 Season

HAMILTON, ON – The Hamilton Cardinals are excited to announce the re-signing of outfielder Carlos Dominguez for the 2026 season. Dominguez, a native of San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic, is a right-handed hitting outfielder. He began his professional career in 2018 after signing a minor league contract with the New York Mets organization. Having debuted in 2019 with the Dominican Summer League Mets, Dominguez posted a .266/.383/.464 slash line with 15 stolen bases over 59 games. He played rookie ball for the Florida Complex League Mets in 2021, slashing .262/.348/.531 with 10 home runs in just 46 games. His performance earned him a promotion to Single-A St. Lucie the following season, where he recorded a 20-home run, 20-stolen base season across 111 games. Dominguez returned to the St. Lucie Mets in 2023 for 42 games before earning another promotion to High-A Brooklyn. In 2024, Dominguez suited up for the Arroceros Béisbol Club, who compete in Liga Nacional de Béisbol de Verano, slashing .308/.400/.558 in 16 games. Dominguez now enters his second season with the Hamilton Cardinals after joining the club midway through 2025, stealing an impressive 20 bases in 31 games while batting .305.
