HAMILTON, ON – The Hamilton Cardinals are excited to announce the re-signing of infielder Brandon Nicoll for the 2026 season. A native of Coombs, British Columbia, Nicoll developed his game with the Langley Blaze, where he posted a .324 batting average across 46 games in 2018. Nicoll committed to Galveston College in Galveston, Texas, competing at the NJCAA Division I level. Over two seasons from 2020 to 2021, he appeared in 43 games and recorded a .305/.359/.524 slash line. He later transferred to Southern Arkansas, an NCAA Division II program, where he spent four seasons from 2022 to 2025. During his time with the Muleriders, Nicoll slashed .324/.401/.590 with 52 home runs across 220 games. With Southern Arkansas, Nicoll won two Great American Conference championships (‘22, ‘23) and made an appearance in the NCAA Division II College World Series in 2022. Nicoll made his Hamilton Cardinals debut in 2025, batting .305 and leading the team with seven home runs in 39 games, earning an All-Star selection in the process.
