Reyny Reyes Re-Signs With Hamilton Cardinals for 2027
Gold Glove infielder Reyny Reyes returns to the Hamilton Cardinals for 2027 after a pennant-winning season and a previous LNBV home run title.
HAMILTON, ON – The Hamilton Cardinals have re-signed infielder Reyny Reyes for the 2027 season, bringing back a Gold Glove winner whose biggest swing helped send the club to its first league final since 2002. Reyes hit .283 with a .343 on-base percentage and .400 slugging percentage in 46 regular-season games in 2026. He collected 51 hits, five home runs, 31 RBI and seven stolen bases in his first season with Hamilton. He made an impact around the diamond, taking assignments at first base, third base, shortstop and left field. Reyes earned a 2026 Canadian Baseball League Gold Glove after handling 112 chances with 37 putouts, 70 assists and six double plays. His defining moment came in Game 6 of the CBL semi-final against Barrie. Reyes drove in two runs with a first-inning single, then broke a tie with a solo home run in the 11th. Hamilton held on for a 5-4 win to clinch the series and reach the championship round for the first time in 24 years. Before his Hamilton debut, the San Cristobal, Dominican Republic native spent five seasons in the Cincinnati Reds organization, reaching Double-A Chattanooga in 2021. He then led the Dominican Republic's Liga Nacional de Béisbol de Verano in home runs while batting .323 for Arroceros Béisbol Club in 2025. The Cardinals finished the regular season 31-17 and captured the inaugural CBL pennant. Reyes returns as Hamilton looks to build on that run in 2027. Lock in your 2027 Season Passes
